Objective:
Support the mental health initiatives of our organisation, focusing on providing assistance to individuals within the Black community.
Responsibilities:
1. Client Support:
- Assist in booking in assessments and initial screenings.
- Provide empathetic support during all communications.
2. Program Assistance:
- Collaborate with the team to implement mental health programs.
- Help organise workshops and events promoting mental well-being.
3. Data Management:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
- Contribute to the organisation’s data collection for program evaluation.
4. Community Outreach:
- Engage in community outreach activities to raise awareness about mental health resources.
- Attend relevant events to represent the organisation and its mission.
5. Training and Development:
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance support skills.
- Stay updated on current mental health research and practices.
Requirements:
- Enrolled or completed coursework in psychology, counseling, or related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Passion for promoting mental health within the Black community.
Time Commitment:
Approximately 10 hours per month, with flexibility based on program needs
